A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened on the 1300 block of North 11th Street at around 8:40 p.m. on Thursday night.
Police said a 15-year old girl and her 2-year old brother were both shot multiple times while outside in front of a home on the block. Both victims were rushed to a nearby hospital where they both were last reported to be in stable condition. A short time later a 17-year old male showed up at the hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. He’d been shot in the ankle multiple times. He was also last reported to be in stable condition.
“We know that over 30 shots were fired from a semi-automatic weapon or weapons. We found over 30 spent shell casings”, said Philadelphia Police Chief Inspector, Scott Small.
Police said they aren’t sure who the intended target was, as surveillance video shows the shooters firing at the victims from down the block. The shooting was captured by surveillance cameras in the area.
“IT (video) shows a white vehicle. It appears to be a white SUV with tinted windows, and you can see on the one recording that at least one person gets out of the passenger side and fires shots. Of course the police department is aware of the description of that vehicle”, Small said.
No arrests have been made at this time.
