An 18-year old young man was reportedly shot at least 5-times in what police suspect was a road rage incident in the Hunting Park section of the city last night.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened at 9th Street & Erie Avenue at around 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday night.
Police say the victim was driving his car when the vehicle was shot up. With at least 5 bullets inside of him, the victim managed to drive to Front & Erie where he flagged down two officers on patrol in the area. Officers pulled the victim out of the vehicle and rushed him to Temple University Hospital where he was last reported to be in critical condition, but expected to survive, thanks to the actions of the police officers.
The 18-year old driver and his 16-year old passenger were reportedly part of a car accident on the 800 block of Erie Avenue that involved multiple vehicles.
“Some individuals fled from their vehicles and fled on foot, and that’s where the shooting took place. For some reason, someone we believe involved in this accident fired multiple shots…at least 7 shots into the sedan that the 18-year old was driving”, said Philadelphia Chief Inspector, Scott Small.
The 16-year old passenger was not injured during the shooting. No arrests have been reported at this time, no suspects have been named either. An investigation is ongoing…
