An unidentified female pedestrian was reportedly killed after being hit by a vehicle and then hit again by a SEPTA bus early this morning in the Wissinoming section of the city.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said the accident happened on the 5900 block of Frankford Avenue at around 1:25 a.m. on Saturday morning.
According to police the female pedestrian was struck by a white Dodge Durango that was heading in the Southbound direction along Frankford Avenue. The impact from the crash pushed the pedestrian into the Northbound lanes where she was then struck by a passing SEPTA bus. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both drivers remained at the scene and were cooperating with the police investigation.
