One person was reportedly killed and eight other people were shot during a mass shooting in Southwest Philadelphia on the 4th of July.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened at 60th Street & Kingsessing Avenue at around 11:40 p.m. on Thursday night.
Two officers on routine patrol in the area were first to arrive at the scene. They reported finding one victim lying on the ground. As multiple other officers arrived, more victims were discovered along the crime scene that covered two city blocks. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
No suspects were named and no arrests have been made at this time. No further information was reported about the shooting at this time. An investigation is underway.
