A report from CBS-3 Philly said the shooting happened on the 7100 block of Penarth Avenue at around 6:25 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
“This male (Reed) was standing outside of the apartment building at 83 S. State Road. He was engaged with someone via the phone. We could tell that from surveillance video, at which point six males get out of the parked car, said Upper Darby Police Superintendent, Timothy Bernhardt.
The six gunmen chased the Reed down the street, shooting at him and striking him multiple times. Police believe Reed was lured into a trap and ambushed by the six shooters who laid in wait. Police said the gunmen got out of a silver vehicle.
No arrests have been made at this time.
