A 26-year old woman and her 4-year old son were reportedly hit by a vehicle as they were crossing the street in the Summerdale section of the city yesterday.

PHILADELPHIA, P.A: A 26-YEAR OLD WOMAN AND HER 4-YEAR OLD SON WERE HIT BY A VEHICLE NEAR BRIDGE STREET & SUMMERDALE AVENUE IN THE SUMMERDALE SAECTION OF THE CITY

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the incident happened at Bridge Street & Summerdale Avenue at around 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

The woman and the child were reportedly in the crosswalk when they were hit by a 2002 Toyota Highlander making a left turn onto Bridge Street. The mother and son were rushed to the hospital where the mom was last reported in stable condition. The child was transported to St Christopher’s Hospital For Children where he was last reported to be in critical condition.

The driver of the Highlander remained at the scene. No arrests were reported.
