On Friday morning New Castle County Delaware police announced the arrest of a 14-year old accused of being part of a group that robbed a gun store with a flat-bed truck last week, to also be connected to multiple armed robberies and burglaries in the Wilmington area.

A report from NBC-10 Philly said the gun store theft took place at Miller’s Gun Center located at West Jackson Avenue & U.S. Route 13 in New Castle, Delaware in the early morning hours of May 27th, 2024.
New Castle Police said they tracked the teen to that crime and multiple others through New Castle Police Detectives substantial “Investigative measures”, according to a written statement by the New Castle Police.
“Through investigative measures, Detectives with the Criminal Investigations Unit were able to identify a 14-year old male from Wilmington as the suspect.”
“Subsequently, May 28, 2024, officers from the New Castle County Mobile Enforcement Team located the juvenile in a vehicle and took him into custody without incident”, the statement from New Castle Police said.
The minor is currently being held at the New Castle County Detention Center on a $79,000 cash bail.
