An unidentified man was reportedly shot and critically wounded during a reported shootout on the Roosevelt Boulevard early this morning.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said the apparent shootout happened on Roosevelt Boulevard in the Lawncrest section shortly after midnight on Saturday morning.
Police said a man suffering from gunshot wounds walked into the 25th Police District and reported the incident, before being rushed to a nearby hospital where he was last reported to be in critical condition. Police said the man’s car was parked out front of the station. The windshield of the car was shattered. Police also found a handgun inside of the man’s vehicle.
Investigators later recovered 10 spent shell casings in the Southbound lanes of The Boulevard. No arrests have been made at this time.
