A report from The Daily Voice said the shooting happened on the 1900 block of Croskey Street at around 12:55 a.m. on Sunday morning.
The woman told police that she’d shot herself while attempting to reinsert the magazine into her gun. Police said they found the gun near blood, and the weapon had no magazine when police recovered the weapon. This information and the nature of the wounds confirmed the woman’s story, according to police.
The woman was reportedly shot in the chest. She was rushed to Temple University Hospital. Her current condition was not reported.
