Former NBA player, 38-year old, Glen “Big Baby” Davis was reportedly sentenced to 40-months in prison for his role in a scheme to defraud the NBA’s health care plan out of millions of dollars.

A report from CNN said Davis was one of 18 former NBA players charged in October of 2021 for submitting nearly $4 million in “false and fraudulent” claims to be reimbursed for medical and dental work that they had not actually had. In November of 2023 Davis was found guilty of wire fraud, health care fraud, conspiracy to commit health care fraud, and conspiracy to make false statements related to health care matters.
Davis was also ordered to pay $80,000 in restitution.
