43-year old, Christopher Plytas, from Levittown, P.A., was taken into custody on Tuesday after police said he stole $190,000 in cash from the backseat of a Tesla parked at a gas station in Bensalem, P.A., earlier this week.

A report from Fox-29 Philly said the incident happened at the Conco Gas Station located on Knights Road in Bensalem on Monday morning.
Police said surveillance video showed Plytas breaking the window of the Tesla before grabbing two cardboard boxes from inside of the vehicle. Police said he then tossed the boxes into the front seat of his vehicle, where a female passenger awaited. Authorities said the two boxes contained $190,000 in cash money inside. Investigators quickly named Plytas as the suspect after seeing the surveillance video. He was arrested by undercover police on Tuesday afternoon. Police said they found $40,000 cash in Plytas possession when he was arrested. At his home, police said they found brand new clothes, drugs, and drug paraphernalia.
The owner of the Tesla is reportedly a “skills machine” company owner. He was at the gas station servicing one of their machines when the incident happened. Police said they are now investigating to see if this was a “targeted incident”.
