A 34-year old woman was reportedly shot multiple times and killed and a 29-year old man was also shot during a double shooting in Southwest Philadelphia yesterday.
A report from NBC-10 Philly said police responded to a report of a person with a gun in the area of the 7000 block of Wheeler Street at around 4:17 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.
First responding police officers at the scene reported finding the female victim suffering from gunshot wounds to her chest and wrist. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving. The male victim was reportedly discovered suffering a gunshot wound to the face. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was last reported to be in critical condition. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
No suspects were named and no arrests have been made at this time.
