55-year old, Anesthesia Technician, at the Hospital Of The University Of Pennsylvania, Johnathan Mack, was reportedly struck by a car and killed while on his way to work in the University City section of the city yesterday.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the incident happened on the 3600 block of Spruce Street at around 5:40 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

According to police, Mack was crossing the crosswalk when he was hit by a Buick Enclave being driven by a 41-year old female. The driver drove to the 18th district police precinct to report the incident. Mack was rushed to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police said no charges are expected to be filed against the driver. An investigation into the crash is still under investigation.
