A 17-year old boy was reportedly shot as he attempted to flee from 8 robbers riding dirt bikes in South Philadelphia early this morning.

A report from Fox-29 Philly said the incident happened at 10th & South Streets at around 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

The teen was reportedly riding a motorized scooter when 8 male suspects riding on four dirt bikes attempted to rob the victim. The victim manage to flee, but the suspects pursued him. The suspects chased the victim for ten blocks to 10th & Federal Streets. That was where one of the suspects fired a single shot, hitting the teenage victim in the leg and causing him to crash into a car. The teen was taken to a nearby hospital where he was last reported to be in stable condition.

No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time.
