An unidentified man is hospitalized after being shot by police multiple times in the Germantown section of the city early this morning.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened at the Cliveden Apartments located at Cliveden & Morton Streets at around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Police officers were reportedly called to the location on a call. The nature of the call was not reported. Police say once at the scene, they were approached by a man who appeared to be holding a gun. Both officers reportedly opened fire at that time. The man was struck in both arms. He retreated back into the building after being shot by police. The officers reported the incident, prompting a barricade situation. The man surrendered to police around 20-minute later. The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was last reported to be in stable condition.
No further details have been released at this time. The shooting is under investigation…
