A 21-year old woman was reportedly killed after being involved in a crash with a vehicle traveling the wrong way along I-95 in South Philadelphia early this morning.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the crash happened between the exits for Columbus Boulevard and the Walt Whitman Bridge at around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.
Pennsylvania State Troopers were called to the area for a report of a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lanes. While on their way to the scene the troopers witnessed a vehicle traveling the wrong-way hit a vehicle traveling in the northbound direction, head on. The 21-year old victim died as a result of her injuries. The 44-year old “wrong-way” driver was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for injuries sustained during the crash.
State Police said charges against the 44-year old male are being prepared. An investigation is ongoing..
