A report from 6-ABC Action News said the first stabbing happened on the 1300 block of Chancellor Street at around 8:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.

In that incident, the suspect who has been identified as 29-year old Takeira Hester, ran up to a 24-year old woman and stabbed her in the chest before fleeing the scene. The victim was taken to Jefferson University Hospital where she was treated and later released.

Hester reportedly committed her second stabbing of the day a few hours later, shortly after noon. This incident happened right out side of Temple Beth Zion-Beth Israel Synagogue on the 300 block of South 18th Street.

Hester once again ran up on unsuspecting victims and attacked without a word being said. This time her targets were two parents and their 1-year old twin boys being pushed in a stroller.

The child was rushed to Children’s Hospital Of Philadelphia where he was last reported to be in stable condition. Police said both attacks appear to be random.

Police said Hester has a previous arrest in New York City for aggravated assault and she has a current warrant from New York for an aggravated assault case that happened just days ago. Police said they did not know what, if any ties Hester may have to the Philadelphia area. A date for Hester’s initial court appearance was not reported.
