32-year old, Derrick Marshall, is facing charges after a 9-year old girl was accidentally shot outside of a McDonald’s restaurant in North Philadelphia yesterday.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said the incident happened at the McDonald’s Restaurant located at North Broad Street & West Allegheny Avenue at around 6:15 p.m. on Thursday evening.
According to police, surveillance video shows the 9-year old girl getting shot in the leg as she walks into McDonald’s with her mother’s boyfriend. Investigators said Marshall’s gun accidentally discharged and hit the child. The girl was taken to a nearby hospital where she was last reported to be in stable condition.
Marshall has been charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child, and a host of other related charges. Marshall’s initial court date was not reported.
