Three people were reportedly shot during an Eid Al-Fitr event in the Parkside section of the city yesterday. Five people were taken into custody at the scene, according to police reports.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened in the area of 47th Street & Wyalusing Avenue at around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.
Police said at least 1000 people were in attendance when two groups who were inside of the park began firing at each other. At least 30-shots were reportedly exchanged during the shootout. During the gunfire, a police officer at the scene engaged an armed 15-year old suspect. The police officer shot that teen in the shoulder and leg before disarming him. The same officer then rushed the teen to a nearby hospital, where the 15-year old suspect was last reported to be in stable condition. The teen was reportedly armed with a rifle. It is unclear if the teen fired a shot before being engaged by the police officer.
The arresting officer in that shooting was placed on administrative duty pending the outcome of an investigation. Police reported recovering five guns at the scene and making five arrests…. Four males and one female all between the ages of 15-21 years of age. An investigation is ongoing…
