A 39-year old man was shot and killed during an exchange of gunfire with a security guard inside of a gas station in North Philadelphia yesterday.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened inside of the Food Mart gas station located on the 900 block of College Avenue at around 7 p.m. on Tuesday evening.
According to the report, the store’s surveillance cameras show the suspect entering the store and pulling out a gun. There was an exchange of gunfire shortly afterward. The security guard was reportedly shot once in the leg. He was taken to Temple University Hospital where he was last reported to be in stable condition. The 39-year old suspect was shot multiple times. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
No other injuries were reported. Witnesses said the deceased man lives in the neighborhood and was known to frequent the store he was shot at. His identity has not been released to the public at this time. An investigation is ongoing…
