The body of a 60-year old male was found inside of a Nicetown rowhome, after a blaze that saw one woman leap from a 2nd floor window to escape the fire. Authorities said at least 12-people were inside of the home at the time of the fire.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the fire started inside of a rowhome on the 1900 block of Dennie Street at around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

Authorities said at least 12 people were inside of the home at the time of the fire, including an unidentified woman who jumped from a 2nd floor window. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where her current condition was last reported as “serious”. The body of a 60-year old male was found in the ruins by firefighters.

Multiple people were rescued from the burning home by neighbors. A family trapped on the second floor of the home were reportedly rescued by neighbors, after they heard the family banging on windows as they cried out for help. Four children were taken to a nearby hospital to be evaluated. No other injuries were reported. An investigation is ongoing…
