An unidentified woman reportedly shot two intruders after arriving home to find a pair of unknown men in her West Philadelphia apartment early this morning.

6200 CHESTNUT STREET – WEST PHILADELPHIA/PHOTO: YAHOO!

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the incident happened inside of an apartment located on the 6200 block of Chestnut Street at around 2:00 a.m. on Friday morning.

Police said the armed woman got into an argument with one of the men before firing off 13 shots at the suspect. That suspect was found dead inside of the bedroom. Police said a second man showed up at a nearby hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. That man is being held as a “person of interest” in the incident. His current condition was not made available to the public at this time. Police did not elaborate on how they came to their conclusion that the wounded man was a suspect in this incident.

The woman said she does not know the suspects and was cooperating with police. An investigation is ongoing. No charges have been reported at this time.
