A 21-year old male was reportedly shot while he was driving down the Roosevelt Boulevard in the Feltonville section of the city last night.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened near Adams Avenue & The Roosevelt Boulevard at around 11:30 p.m. on Monday night.
According to police, the victim was driving a blue Honda near Adams Ave & The Boulevard when shots were fired. The victim’s car was reportedly hit multiple times. The victim was shot in the back. He crashed into trash cans on the street before his vehicle came to a stop. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was last reported to be in critical condition. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
Police said they found a gun and police scanners in the victim’s vehicle. The victim had a valid gun permit for the weapon. He was reportedly employed by a towing company. No suspects were named and no arrests have been made at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
