28-year old Derrick Gant A.K.A “Phat Geez”, was reportedly shot and killed in North Philadelphia over the weekend.
A report from Fox-29 Philadelphia said the rapper was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on the 1200 block of North Taney Street at around 10:10 p.m. on Sunday night.
Police said several shots were fired from the passenger inside of a vehicle. Gant was shot in the chest multiple times. He was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased at 10:30 p.m. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
No suspects were named and no arrests have been made at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
