Three people were reportedly arrested in West Philadelphia early this morning after a police chase ended in a crash, before the suspects briefly fled the scene on foot, and were eventually apprehended.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the police chase covered parts of the Overbrook section of West Philadelphia. At one point during the chase, the wanted vehicle reportedly crashed into another vehicle on City Line Avenue, but still managed to elude authorities. The chase came to an end with the suspects’ car crashing near 77th Street & Sherwood Road at around 3 a.m. on Monday morning.
Police said they began pursuing the vehicle because it was connected to a recent homicide. Two men and a women were taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. The report did not say if any of the suspects may have been involved in the recent homicide. An investigation is ongoing.
