Whalesca Castillo (no age given) was sentenced to serve 4 to 8 years in prison yesterday, after pleading guilty to manslaughter in the death of 48-year old Lesbia Ayala from Philadelphia, P.A.
A report from NBC-4 New York said Ayala traveled from Philly to the Bronx, NY, to get a procedure performed by Castillo (who has no medical license) in June of 2018. Ayala was to receive injections into her buttocks and thighs. Ayala died of an embolism that was reportedly “a direct result of those injections”.
The procedure was performed in Castillo’s home in the Bronx. Castillo was sentenced to serve 1-year in federal prison and pay a $100,000 fine for running an illegal cosmetic clinic from the same home in 2012.
