20-year old, Abiud Torres, was captured by U.S. Marshals in the Kensington section of the city yesterday. Abiud Torres is accused of shooting and killing his girlfriend inside of her Kensington home on December 23, 2003.
A report from Fox-29 Philly said U.S. Marshals caught up to Torres inside of an abandoned home on the 1800 block of Hart lane at around 6:45 a.m. on Thursday morning.
Working with information that Torres may be staying in abandoned homes in the Kensington area, marshals scoured the area. Eventually locating Torres inside of the house on Hart Lane, where he was taken into custody without incident.
Torres was taken into custody just a few blocks away from where he allegedly murdered his girlfriend.
