 One person was killed and at least 21 more people were injured in a shooting during the Super Bowl parade/celebration for the Kansas City Chiefs this afternoon.

 A report from NPR said the shooting happened outside of Union Station at the conclusion of the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade and celebration festivities.

 The number of reported victims of the shooting incident has continued to rise throughout the day. Three individuals have reportedly been taken into custody. One, after a brief foot pursuit by police. At least one firearm has been recovered according to police. A motive for the shooting is still unclear.

 According to Kansas City Police Chief, Stacey Graves, 800 law enforcement officers were on patrol at the scene for the parade that saw nearly 1 million people attend the same event last year.
