A man only identified as being “in his 40’s”, was reportedly shot and killed near a day care in the middle of the day, in North Philadelphia yesterday.
A report from NBC-10 Philly said the shooting happened on North 26th Street near West Hagert Street at around 11:40 a.m. on Monday morning.
First arriving police officers at the scene reported finding the victim lying on the sidewalk and bleeding from a gunshot wound to the head. Paramedics pronounced the victim deceased minutes later. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
No suspects were named and no arrests have been made at this time.
