A huge crowd gathered on Broad Street near Temple University turned dangerous as shots were fired and people scattered in all directions yesterday.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said police were called to the intersection of Broad Street & Cecil B. Moore Avenue at around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday afternoon.
Officers arrived to find around 500 juveniles gathered in the area. Police said the crowd refused to leave. Officers said they heard gunshots breakout in the crowd at around 6 p.m. No injuries were reported. University Officials alerted students and anyone else to avoid the area shortly afterward. The University sent out an “all clear” alert at around 8:22 p.m.
No suspects have been named and no arrests have been made at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
