  Two police officers were reportedly shot this afternoon after being called to a home for a shooting in East Lansdowne, P.A., this afternoon.

 A report from 6-ABC Action News said police were called to a home on the unit block of Lewis Avenue at around 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon for a reported shooting at the residence.

 According to police, they were fired on as soon as they pulled up to the location. Two officers were hit. The suspect reportedly ran back into the home afterward. A fire reportedly broke out at the residence 15-minutes after police arrived. The fire grew as only one fire hose attempted to extinguish the fire. A number of firefighters and other first responders were posted up the street and not allowed any closer to the location due to safety concerns.

 Both police officers were conscious at they were rushed to Penn Presbyterian Hospital. The current condition of the officers were not reported. 6-ABC Action News said they were told by sources that the call for a person shot was reportedly an 11-year old who lived in the home. The house continued to burn with the suspect and a possible victim still inside. No further information has been released at this time.
