42-year old, Jose Quinones-Mendez was charged with multiple counts this morning related to a gun he allegedly stole from the crime scene of a police involved shooting, that left the suspect dead and the officer wounded, in North Philadelphia on Friday night.
A report from NBC-10 Philly said Mendez was captured in Center City near Juniper & Race Streets on Wednesday night.
Mendez was charged with theft, obstruction of justice, tampering with evidence, and other related charges on Thursday morning. Police said they were tipped off that Mendez was likely heading to the airport when he was captured. Police said two other males who were in the car with Mendez were also arrested.
