Philadelphia Police said thieves made off with multiple cases of meat, after breaking into three tractor-trailers parked in Northeast Philly early this morning.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the incident happened while the trucks were parked and waiting for a refrigeration facility to open on C.F. Congdon Parkway at around 1 a.m. on Monday morning, waiting for the facility to open at 6 a.m.
Police said that was when the thieves struck, cutting the locks on the rear doors of all three trucks that were occupied at the time. One driver said he felt jostling in the back of the truck, so he exited the cab to go check the load. The driver said the thieves seemed surprised to see him and fled.
The suspects managed to steal five boxes of meat before being spotted. No injuries were reported. No suspects were named and no arrests have been made at this time.
