A 59-year old inmate was reportedly found stabbed unconscious after a reported stabbing at a jail on State Road in Northeast Philadelphia yesterday.
A report from Fox-29 Philly said officers responded to the report of a “Hospital Case” at the Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility at around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.
First responding officers at the scene reported finding the victim suffering from sustained blunt force trauma to the head. The victim received immediate medical attention, but still succumbed to his injuries at around 9:43 a.m.
The victim’s 25-year old cellmate was relocated from his cell to another cell in a different area of the jail. There was no word on any charges at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
