35-year old, William Wallace Carter, was reportedly shot and killed by a group who robbed him in Norristown last night.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened on Wood & Powell Streets at around 8:00 p.m. on Saturday night.
According to police, the victim was walking towards the sidewalk when he was approached by a grey Toyota Rav-4 carrying 3 or 4 suspects. Three masked suspects exited the vehicle and immediately pinned the victim against a wall. The suspects then robbed and shot the victim before fleeing the scene in the Toyota.
Carter was pronounced dead at the scene. At around 3:00 a.m. police said they found the Rav-4 engulfed in flames. Nothing was left of the vehicle except charred remains. Police said the car had been stolen out of Cheltenham Township.
No suspects were named and no arrests have been made at this time.
