55-Year old, James Casey, of Hatboro has been charged in the stabbing death of his neighbor, 62-year old, Robert Wallace, who accused Casey of snoring too loudly.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the incident happened Sunday night at Casey’s Montgomery County home. The two neighbors reportedly had a long-standing feud about Casey’s snoring, which Wallace claimed, could be heard through a wall connecting their homes.
Wallace allegedly removed a screen from Casey’s home before unlocking a window in Casey’s house. Casey was reportedly eating dinner at the time. After a short verbal confrontation, investigators said Casey stabbed Wallace in the chest with a “large military-style knife”. Wallace was rushed to Abington Hospital where he died a short time later.
Casey was interviewed by police on Sunday night where he told them “Wallace had not been menacing or threatening when he stabbed him” in the doorway of his home. Casey said the two neighbors had been having “personal issues” for the last year and a half and that police had been called out to the property multiple times. Wallace had contacted police multiple times over the past year and a half to complain about Casey’s snoring, according to the statement Casey gave police.
According to Casey the two briefly argued at the window before Wallace offered a peace offering telling Casey he would help him pay for nasal surgery to help with the snoring. Casey agreed and told Wallace to meet him at the front door for a handshake. Instead, Casey came to the front door holding a military-style knife and a stun gun under a blanket.
Casey called 9-1-1 after stabbing Wallace. Police found him lying on the ground, about 50-feet away from Casey’s home. Casey was charged with third-degree murder, voluntary manslaughter, and possessing instruments of crime. He is currently being held in lieu of $1 million bail.
