Part of the Roosevelt Boulevard was temporarily closed due to a barricade situation in the Rhawnhurst area of Northeast Philadelphia this morning.
A report from CBS-3 Philly said the the standoff between police and the suspect happened on Berbeck Avenue right off of the 7800 block of the Roosevelt Boulevard at around 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
Police said officers and the suspect were in a standoff situation at the location. The suspect was reportedly shot and killed by police. No other information about the incident has been released at this time.
All four lanes of the Boulevard between Borbeck Avenue & Rhawn Street were closed earlier due to the incident. At last check, only the southbound outer lanes were still closed. Traffic was once again flowing in all the other lanes.
