A group of skydivers jumped from a hot -air balloon moments before the balloon crash landed near the Arizona desert, leaving 4 passengers dead and another critically injured yesterday.

A report from CNN said the incident happened in the city of Eloy Arizona. A city which is roughly 65 miles south of Phoenix, at around 7:50 a.m. on Sunday morning. The balloon landed is a desert area east of Sunshine Boulevard & Hanna Road.
Police said “something catastrophic occurred with the balloon, causing it to crash to the ground shortly after all of the skydivers in the balloon completed their planned jump”. The balloon was reportedly carrying 13-passengers in all when it took off. 8-skydivers, 4-passengers, and 1-balloon operator. One victim died at the scene and 3 others were taken to the hospital where they died as a result of their injuries.
The exact cause of the crash is unknown at the moment. The victims have not been identified at this time. An investigation is ongoing.
