An unidentified woman was reportedly shot and killed in what police believe was a case of a road-rage incident turned deadly in West Philadelphia last night.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said the incident happened in the area of the 6200 block of Market Street on Saturday night.
First responding police officers at the scene reported finding a woman who had been shot multiple times lying on the sidewalk next to a gun. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died a short time after arriving. A friend of the victim’s reportedly crashed her vehicle while following the ambulance to the hospital. She was not physically injured during the crash.
A female suspect in possession of a gun was detained at the scene and taken into police custody to be questioned. An investigation is ongoing.
