The body of escaped inmate, 34-year old, Gino Hagenkotter was found inside of a warehouse in the Tioga section of the city on Monday. Hagonkotter was a prisoner at Riverside Correctional Facility when he escaped from a work detail outside of the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Center (P.I.C.C) on November 30, 2023.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said authorities discovered Hagonkotter unresponsive inside of a warehouse on the 1100 block of East Venango Street at around 2:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon.
Hagonkotter was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said they found a broken air-vent, a pushed-out fan in the warehouse, and a ladder, suggesting that this was how Hagonkotter entered the building. Police did not find any identification on the victim. They said he was identified through a fingerprint analysis.
