72-year old, School Bus Aide, Macarthur Wilson, of Lansdale, has reportedly been charged for allegedly choking a 6-year old boy on a school bus in Montgomery County, P.A. in October of this year.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the child’s parents reported the incident to authorities on October 16th, after the child ran off of the bus visibly upset, with marks on his neck.
The District Attorney’s Office said the child told his parents that Wilson had put his hands around his neck and choked him. A police investigation led authorities to check surveillance video from the bus. According to investigators:
Wilson was asked to sit with the boy on the bus. A few seconds later, the video reportedly showed Wilson attempting to put the child’s seat belt on him…seconds later Wilson is seen putting his hands around the child’s neck for seven seconds before the bus driver screamed at Wilson to stop.
The assault happened about one minute before the bus arrived at the child’s bus stop. Wilson was charged with strangulation, attempted simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, and harassment. Wilson turned himself in to police and was arraigned on December 5th. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for January 9, 2024.
