7 people were reportedly injured during a fire that burned inside of a rowhome in Northeast Philadelphia this morning.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the fire broke out inside of a home on the 6300 block of Cardiff Street at around 8 a.m. on Thursday morning.
The fire broke out in a home just steps away from the 15th Police District. Officers were immediately on the scene looking to assist as the fire quickly spread and grew. Officials with the Philadelphia Fire Department said two people jumped from a 2nd floor window to escape the blaze. Police officers reportedly rescued an adult and child who were inside of the home.
“Officers came on foot, and officers came in cars. We were the first that responded” said Commanding Officer for the Northeast Division, Francis Bachmayer.
Firefighters arrived a short time later and had the fire under control in less than 30 minutes. Two police officers, a firefighter, and four people from inside of the home were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their current conditions were not reported.
