The body of an unidentified man was found inside of a property that caught fire in Southwest Philadelphia this morning.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said firefighters were called to a residential property on the 5200 block of Woodland Avenue at around 6:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Firefighters said they arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the second floor of a two-story residential building. The fire was officially placed under control at around 6:48 a.m. Firefighters discovered the deceased victim of the 2nd floor.
An investigation into how the fire began is ongoing.
