An unidentified man in his 50’s, reportedly escaped from a hospital in Center City while in police custody for multiple warrants out of New York.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said the incident happened at Jefferson Hospital at an unreported time on Monday morning.
Police said the prisoner fled the hospital on Chestnut Street before heading in an undisclosed direction. Police did not release any details about how the escapee managed to get free from police custody and escape. The escapee was allegedly wanted for multiple warrants out of New York. The report did not elaborate on what the warrants were for.
The prisoner is reported to be in his 50’s and last seen wearing a hospital shirt or hospital gown. Authorities have not yet released a name or description of the suspect at this time.
