Police said at least 15 stolen vehicles and multiple car parts were found in a secluded wooded area that had been transformed into a chop-shop.

A report from 6-ABC Action News said the chop-shop was located by authorities in a wooded area near the Philadelphia International Airport, in the area of South Road & Bartram Avenue on Thursday.
Police said the homemade chop-shop was located on PennDot’s property.
“In that area, it’s very sophisticated from what I’m told. There are multiple, we believe, stolen vehicles. It’s certainly something. We have to spend some time to figure out where people were bringing the stuff in (and) see if there is any other evidence we can recover”, said Police First Deputy Commissioner, Frank Vanore.
Detectives working the case said the cars were stolen from around the region, including South Jersey. Authorities also said the suspects created a garage in the middle of the woods covered by a camouflage tarp. Detectives said they believe the amount of light found inside of the garage indicates that the suspects likely worked overnight. The area also had multiple “man-made” exit points in case the crew needed to make a quick escape, according to authorities.
No suspects have been identified and police did not make any arrests.
