An unidentified man was taken into custody and accused of shooting a 58-year old woman in Southwest Philadelphia last night.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened on the 1800 block of South 54th Street on Saturday night.
The victim was reportedly shot in the leg. She was transported to a nearby hospital by police. The victim was last reported to be in stable condition. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
While police were investigating the crime the shooter returned to the scene and was identified as the shooter by witnesses at the scene. He was apprehended and found to be in possession of a handgun.
The suspect has not been identified at this time.
