An unidentified woman reportedly shot and killed a SEPTA bus driver in the Germantown section of the city this morning.
A report from CBS-3 Philly said the shooting happened at the corner of Germantown & Abbotsford Avenues at the driver was operating the Route: 23 bus at around 10:30 a.m. on Thursday morning.
Police said the unidentified, 48-year old driver, was shot six times in the right chest and right abdomen. Police rushed the victim to Einstein Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The victim was reportedly a 12-year employee with the Transportation Authority.
A “person of interest” was taken into custody in the area of Green Street & West Queen Lane at around noon.
