Two people were reportedly shot and killed during a double-shooting in the Hunting Park section of the city early this morning.
A report from 6-ABC Action News said the shooting happened on the 3900 block of North Reese Street at around 1 a.m. on Wednesday morning. Police said there was also another crime scene around a block away at 39th & North Fairhill Streets.
First arriving police at the scene reported finding two victims who had been shot in the head. The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital where both victims were pronounced dead shortly after arriving. Multiple shell casings were recovered from both scenes by police. A possible motive for the shooting was not reported.
No suspects were named and no arrests have been made at this time.
