A 22-year old man reportedly posed in a storefront as a mannequin until the mall closed before robbing the place, including a stop at the food court to get himself something to eat!
According to a report from the New York Post the incident happened at a mall in Warsaw, Poland, shortly before the mall was set to close for the evening.
According to police: the thief posed motionless, holding a bag, while standing in front of the window display until the mall closed. Once the last customer had left and the mall was secured, the man broke out of his stance and headed for a jewelry stand where he took his time to pick through the merchandise, before getting a “five finger discount” for himself on some nice jewelry for himself and likely “the misses.“
The suspect hit up the food-court for a meal after the jewelry heist. After his meal, the suspect reportedly continued shopping. This time he grabbed himself a new outfit. After tiring himself out from clothes shopping, the suspect reportedly returned to the food-court for another meal.
Police said that the man’s luck eventually ran out, and he was spotted by mall security guards. The suspect was arrested and taken into custody. He also allegedly stole money from the cash registers at two stores. Police said the suspect is facing up to 10-years in prison if convicted.
