A 42-year old man was reportedly shot during an attempted robbery in Center City overnight.
A report from Fox-29 Philly said the incident happened at the corner of 17th & Rodman Streets on Monday morning.
According to police: as the victim was walking down the block he was approached by the two robbery suspects..one was armed with a handgun. A struggle ensued between the victim and the armed bandit. As the victim grabbed the weapon the gun went off. Hitting him (the victim) once in the leg.
The suspects reportedly fled the scene after the shooting. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital where he was last reported to be in stable condition.
No arrests have been made at this time.
